The Mining Trail in Ramsbeck

Walk with us along the new mining hiking trail in Ramsbeck. It was created between 2010 and 2017.

The marked route gives visitors the opportunity to retrace the history of mining in Ramsbeck on a hiking trail and to learn about the technical processes of ore mining, processing and smelting. A total of 41 desks and boards have been set up at the most prominent points. They provide information in text and pictures and explain the monuments, buildings, tunnels, areas and relics that still exist.

• The hiking trail starts at the mining museum.
• It covers a total distance of approx. 11 km. Numerous benches and tables invite you to take a break.
• You can also walk four sections (see map). – All routes lead through the centre of Ramsbeck.
• In the Werdern area, there are two parts of the route that offer a complementary experience.
• Good footwear is recommended.
• The association cannot accept liability for any personal damage caused on the mining trail.
