8 Memorial Cross for the Miners who died in Accidents

The cross was erected in the cemetery in Ramsbeck, which was built in 1854. After restoration, it has now found its place on the mining hiking trail that runs along the Bastenberg.
It was erected at its new location on 6 September 2010 and consecrated on 12 September 2010 by the Catholic priest Günther Eickelmann and the Protestant priest Dirk Schmäring.

This was the first station to be erected on the mining trail. In this way, the Förderverein Sauerländer Besucherbergwerk Bestwig – Ramsbeck e.V. wanted to highlight its importance and show its special appreciation.
